D1: Chengdu- Lhasa Lodging: Lhasa
Arrive in Gongga Airport of Lhasa from Chengdu on the flight (with 4 hours flying time and 3600m altitude of airport), meet at the airport by local driver. Then take bus to Sunshine City—Lhasa (the whole trip is 100 kilometers and takes about one and a half hours), and fully appreciate beautiful scenery of Yaluzangbu River and original and simple & unsophisticated views of Tibetan Villages throughout a journey; and then visit stone inscription of Nietang Buddha which was formed in the 11th century of A.D. and 20km away from Lhasa. Afterwards, stay in appointed hotel and have a rest for plateau adaptability.
D2:Visit to the downtown of Lhasa (Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Street) Lodging: Lhasa
In the morning, visit Potala Palace as an ancient palace-style architecture with the highest altitude in the world. It was originally built in 7th century AD. Since the Fifth Dalai Lama, and has always become a politic and religion center of Tibet. Among which, golden Talejn Temple collects the real bodies of previous generations of Dalai Lamas and large quantities of rare fresco, Tang Ka and figure of Buddha collected here. It’s a concentrated embodiment of Tibetan culture (excluding the individual ticket expenses of the golden roof and cultural relics & precious treasures exhibition, which is worthy of 10 Yuan/Person respectively). In the afternoon, visit the earliest family hall for worshipping Buddha called “Jokhang Temple” established during the period of Tufan Dynasty. There are body statues like the Buddha forefather Sakyamuni aged 12 sacrificed here. It is the holiest and most efficacious figure of Buddha in the mind of Tibetan masses. The tourists can not only see the masses’ religiosity of worshiping Buddha and but also pray for all flesh together with the masses to hand down the classics or sacred books around the temple. And then go shopping freely in Barkhor Street as Handicraft Street full of distinct Tibetan characteristics---- .
D3:Lhasa---Yangbajing (Yangbajing) Lodging: Lhasa After breakfast, take bus to Geothermal Steam Field---Yangbajing 90km away from Lhasa. It is the earliest and biggest geothermal generation base in China, where there are the most famous geothermal springs of Tibet. The tourists can see from here a vast of north Tibetan grassland and have hot spring bath at your own expenses at the feet of grand Nyainqentanglha Mountain (outdoor for 40 Yuan, indoor for 60 Yuan, with self-supplied swimming clothes); then take bus back to Lhasa.
D4:Lhasa---Rikaze Lodging: Lhasa Start from Lhasa and cross over Gangbala Mountian with 4800m altitude. You can overlook the Gangbala hero radar station here and visit one of three biggest holy lakes in Tibet-----Yangzuoyong Lake, which is called as “Fairy Lake” by Tibetan masses.You can feel unique peace and kindness while standing at the lakeside. After lunch, arrive in Jiangzhi hero ancient city via Kaluola Iceberg and then visit the ruins of Zhongshan Resistance Hero Castle (cost of 30 Yuan at your own expenses) where Tibetan masses boldly resisted against foreign invaders at that time. And then visit Adhi-Buddha Tower---Baiju Temple (cost of 40 Yuan at your own expenses), and arrive in a place of military importance in post Tibetan----Rikaze. (If this road cannot be open to traffic due to road cause, then it is required to cross through China Nepal Friendship highway and arrive in a place of military importance in post Tibetan----Rikaze.)
D5:Rikaze----Lhasa (Tashilumpo Temple) Lodging: Lhasa In the morning, visit Zhuxi Temple---Tashilhunpo Monastery for previous generations of Ban-Chen-Bla-Mas, where the golden roof is the most brilliant in all temples and there is the biggest gold plated copper Buddha in the world--- Maitreya Buddha. And then take bus to return to Lhasa via Yarlung Zangbo River along China Nepal Friendship highway.
D6:Lhasa---Linzhi (Jubai Garden) Lodging: Ba Yi After breakfast, start off and cross over Mila Mountian with 5020m altitude via wide Dazhi Plain, enter the south of Tibet where green trees are dense----Linzhi Area; throughout a journey, appreciate the view of Niyang River and feel challenging and stimulating of old suspension bridge as well as appreciate unique feelings of people from Luoba nationality. Afterwards, arrive at small cantoonese town of plateau—Bayi Town and visit Jubai tree garden with tree age of 2500 years.
D7: Linzhi---Lhasa (Basongcuo) Lodging: Lhasa Start from Bayi town to Bahe Bridge and even state level 4A scenic spot area---Basongcuo Lake which is called “A Pearl of Tibet” which means dammed lake formed in the course of geographical change of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and holy lake of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. Except for appreciating beautiful landscape of lake and mountain, the tourists can also experience unique aroma of crossing a lake with wooden raft (cost of 40 Yuan at your own expenses) here. There is the oldest and most mysterious temple of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism----Cuosong Temple on small Cuosong Island in the center of lake. In front of the temple, the tourists can see original genitals sacrifices and then take bus to cross Mila Mountain via Niyang River and return to Lhasa.
D8:Lhasa----Chengdu After breakfast, send off at the airport, fly from Lhasa to Chengdu by flight and wind up a pleasant journey.
